Fun Fact Friday - Introducing The Legend of CùSithGrim

Happy Friday!! I hope your week went well and you're ready for Friday afternoon to start and your weekend to begin! Fall is such an amazing season so I hope you have some great plans, even if it is just staying home.

For anybody just joining us, in September I introduced my "debut" book of Along the Way (click on the titles to be taken to those introductory posts.) The following week I introduced it's sequel, Wherever It Goes. If you're enjoying either of these two books right now, I'd like to say thank you. I appreciate it immensely! If you'd like, let me know what you think of them, either with a comment, or better yet a review on my Amazon Author page. I do enjoy reading these two books again, and I see things in them that I hadn't seen the first 25 times before. I also enjoy the characters in those two books. I did my first in-depth Author Commentary on what you'd see in the sample of Along the Way and I hope you found it to be interesting. I'll do that eventually with each novel. As the title of my whole 'blog' gives away, this is life inside a fiction writer's head.

On our 3rd Friday together, I introduced you to the oldest story I've been writing with the characters I've known the longest. Portrait of an Unlikely Affair is the first in a five book series (I'm pretty sure it's just a five book series. One can never tell.) The following week I introduced you to a story that the Portrait series spawned with The Allegheny Chronicles: Eden & the Alchemist. In fact, just this past Tuesday I just gave you an in-depth Author Commentary about the Chronicles. Again, if you have read either of these two novels yet, definitely drop me a comment or a review.

I do enjoy getting feedback on my work. (Of course, I've already accepted the two extremes you could say, all the way from "OMG, I loved it! It's the BEST BOOK EVER! I'd give it 100 stars if I could!" to "It sucks. Everything about it sucks. Worst book ever. Did a first grader write this thing? Don't quit your day job. Can I give negative stars plus get a refund on all the time in my life that I wasted reading it?" Yeah, see? Got it covered. But I figure reality is somewhere in the middle, but still let me know.)

And to our men out there reading these book, I'd love to hear your feedback too!!

Today, I am going to introduce to you Book 2 in the Portrait of an Unlikely Affair series. I have named it The Legend of CùSithGrim. (I pronounce it Koo-Sith-Grimm, in case you were curious. Perhaps the creation of that title will be a subject for a future Beyond the Sample. It's a made-up word cuz I can do that in fiction.) I don't want to give away any spoiler alerts for right now, so I'll just do it this way....

The description of Book 2 reads:

Avonlea Stone awakens to find that her nightmare is reality. Brian Ridley’s life is hanging by a thread in the hospital, his status uncertain, and she feels herself to blame for provoking their argument. Thomas Ridley rallies his team to come to Brian’s aid. The mysterious circumstances of Brian’s attack weigh heavily on Tom’s mind as a sudden change in world events makes Brian’s survival all the more important. As The Firm begins to assist in the investigation of Brian’s attack and prepares to take him away, Avonlea is given a very difficult choice; to lead a normal life without Brian or live a life she will never be able to share with the world.

Now, if you've read Portrait of an Unlikely Affair, you know what has happened. There is a difference into how book 2 was written, so I hope you don't mind. Where Portrait pretty much stayed in the one timeline, covering less than a year in their life, The Legend of CùSithGrim will take you along the "current" timeline of 1996, but also take you back to look at Brian's life and also his relationship with his family. It'll give you snippets of how Brian became who he is and see the why. You'll even meet new characters.

So, if you've read Portrait, by all means, head on into Legend. If you haven't read Portrait, I've tried to make it so that you can jump into the second book and sort of know what's going on in a stand-alone manner, but you will definitely want to read Portrait. The Legend of CùSithGrim will set you up perfectly for the next book, Book 3, The Ghost of Oscar. I'll tell you, the further you go into this series, the more intrigued you become. I'm very excited about each book in this series. Each one is amazing to me in its own right.

Anyhow, I'll let you go on that note. If you have any questions or comments at all, by all means, let me know! I'm not scary (well, at least I don't think I am 🤔) and I will respond to you (writers do love to write.) If you enjoy reading these little blurbs, enjoy reading my novels, or just enjoy life, be sure to share those thoughts with your friends. If they like to read, I just may have some books for them to enjoy. Also, thank you for letting me know what you think in your reviews on Amazon!!😍

Thanks for stopping by and hanging out with me today. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day and have a great weekend!!💕
