The Allegheny Chronicles: Veil Falls

The Allegheny Chronicles: Veil Falls has been out for just over a month now! How's it going reading it? I love the reviews and feedback I have been getting back on it. I do realize that it is a healthy chunk of book to read (Over 500 pages) but it doesn't seem like that so if you're hesitant based on page count, don't let that disturb you. I've had some first time readers and I've had readers who are used to my writing and both categories enjoyed the story. They say it has twists and turns. They say it catches and keeps their interest. They say it is 'a wild ride.' I have even heard that it is even one reader's new favorite.

So what is it about Veil Falls?

The characters, I think. You really get to know Mason in this story. The book is divided into four parts and in Part 1, you get to see the world through Mason's eyes. You get to hear his thoughts and feel his feelings. Part 2 takes you back to reading as a reader and begin to see all sides of the story. Each part has a little "introduction" from Mason's past, showing a bit of what you hadn't seen or experienced before.  I must warn you, there are some really difficult parts in the first part of the book that Mason goes through. ***If you are sensitive to PTSD triggers, this first part does have them.***  But each of my readers so far are correct -- Veil Falls is a wild ride with twists and turns and will keep you turning those pages to the very end.
