Trivial Tidbits -- Could've Been Something

 

Welcome to the final day of September and the my 10th published book of my first year of being an author!  Could've Been Something is a collection of 9 short stories (Because 10 would have made it too long.) It was published on June 19, 2023. This collection includes:

I have been writing for over 35 years and have had many interests. While Brian Ridley and the Portrait of an Unlikely Affair series was my constant,  I did write other things. I have an interest in mysteries, the paranormal, history, ballroom, and crime-solving so that is what I really wanted to write about so you can see how I was quite puzzled when my writing turned to complicated Portrait world. With Brian's story out there and told, it became time for me to share with you these other characters, these other stories. I do hope you enjoy them, and those who have read them have expressed that some of these stores "really really should" become more than just a short story. Well, I do agree with that and I wonder where they will take us. In fact, I do know that one of them, One Hell of a Best Seller, has become it's own novel now -- a new installment of the  Allegheny Chronicles for that matter! -- and the short story version is just your introduction to their life. As to the other stories, well, I have a feeling you'll be seeing at least one more turn into a novel....You'll just have to wait and see!
