Friday Tidbit -- The Ghost of Oscar
Today we are looking at the third installment of my Portrait of an Unlikely Affair series, The Ghost of Oscar, as we near the mark of my first 365 days of being a published author. Remember I have been working on these books for 35 years! This book was released to the world on November 1, 2022. I was able to wait a whole month to do do it! (But that's because I released the Allegheny Chronicles: Eden and the Alchemist first.) This book was supposed to be the end of Brian and Avonlea's story. After all, books 1, 2, and now 3 take you on quite the adventure! Here's the description of book 3 as found on Amazon:
"It was a world he never was meant for, a life he never expected to lead, and yet, Brian Ridley finds himself tossed into the deep end. He is sent off on the most difficult, and unlikely, assignment he has ever faced – To enter and blend into Avonlea Stone’s world. just to complete his mission. Immersed in the Stone Family, Brian begins to learn what a "normal" existence entails as he encounters a new level of psychological warfare with Avonlea's past. Learning to have faith in one another and their love, Brian and Avonlea soon realize that success in this assignment will lead to a new reality, one that Avonlea fears could mean losing Brian and the future they were hoping to build."
I enjoyed bringing to life the characters and bringing in the ones that have been standing on the sidelines, patiently waiting for their turns to enter this series. Again, you will see my "What if" writing style as some of these characters are very different, very contrasting, and others very real. I hope you enjoy reading this one because there is more to come!
If you've read The Ghost of Oscar, don't forget to rate or review it on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Apple Books, or Goodreads! I appreciate it! As all of those sellers have algorithms, the more ratings and reviews I get, the less likely they will bury my book from other potential readers! Yes, that does mean the more ratings and reviews I get, the more they will suggest my book to other readers!
If you haven't read my books yet, you can find them on kindle, paperback, and hardcover at www.amazon.com/author/embrooks, at www.barnesandnoble.com, and on your Apple Books app (all ten books will be available on Apple Books this coming week!) I appreciate you for joining on my adventures! And if you love them, remember to tell your book reading friends!
There is always an adventure in an Em Brooks book!
