Showing the Love ❤️

One of the things that makes an author anxious is when NOBODY says anything about their writing.

It's just the sound of crickets. 

 All sorts of things run through an author's mind, including panic -- "OMG, *no one* is rating or reviewing my books! Are they *that* bad?" 

Since publishing, I actually hear more from people directly -- people who tell me they've read or are reading them, and how much they are enjoying them. And at that moment, I understand that Amazon reviews and ratings aren't everything because as long as my books are being read and enjoyed, my heart is full. 

Being an author is really a slow moving career path, where you do the work and then wait.....and wait.....and wait for the fruits of your labor to become evident. Sometimes it takes a while for the whole thing to get moving and in the mean time, you do what you do best, you write. I love writing, so I really write the books for me and if others enjoy them, thats a bonus. And I love happening on "reviews" in the form of people sharing my posts. I am truly grateful for them.
