Is there such a thing as too many?

There was a post on an writer's group earlier this week about how many pages are too many pages. Many were saying they wouldn't read a a book over a certain number of pages. Others shot for a 200 page book. 🤔 As a writer, it is impossible for me to keep a book under 250 pages. I just can't do it. As a reader, I don't have a preference-- I'll take on any number of pages. It all depends on the novel -- some are so good you never want them to end.

Most of my novels are between 300 and 400 pages, with this one, Embers to Ashes, being over 500 pages.

Embers to Ashes is book 4 of my Portrait of an Unlikely Affair series and takes place almost 20 years into the future after The Ghost of Oscar, book 3. In some ways the Portrait of an Unlikely Affair series is two broken into two parts -- the first three books as the past or "origin story" and the second three books as "current" times.

The reason I bring this up is because my Barnes and Noble Press author's copy for Embers to Ashes arrived via UPS today and I excitedly ripped the package open and grinned. Of course I have to thumb through it and began reading, getting lost in the story once again, until I reminded myself I really must finish editing Could've Been Something (because June 19th is rapidly approaching!!)

On that note, if you haven't made it to book 4 yet, treat yourself to an adventure and begin the series that I never intended to share with anyone.

On that note, I'll let you go. Thank you for hanging out with me today! I appreciate it!💕

Until then, find all of my TEN (🙌 )of my books in one easy link at Amazon:
