Your Morning Tidbit -- Are You Thinking What I'm Thinking?

Hi everyone! I hope your day is going well. It is the first Friday of the New Year so HAPPY FRIDAY!!! Time is just flying by today, so I'm thinking this is more of an 'afternoon' tidbit instead of a morning tidbit.

Communication is an odd thing, especially when conveyed through writing. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? (OK, and here, I know there are several of us who have seen Pinky and The Brain one too many times and have an instant comeback for that question.) Sometimes we can read something, and we interpret it based on the mood we are feeling at that moment. Other times, we can present something and get crickets in response (a common theme in parenthood.) Most of the time, though, we can write something  and share it. People read it, understand it, and have no response because they have no opinion on it one way or another. My goal with this post is to give support to those who have read my books, who are fans of my books, and need one link to share with other readers in their life. If you are excitedly telling your friends about my writing and you want to point them to that ONE place, share that one link (since everyone has a computer in their hands these days) this post will be it.

When given the name of a new author who has several published books to pick from, it can be intimidating to decide which one book they should start with. Some folks want to make the right decision by choosing the best book to start off with. Others are waiting to see which one everyone else is reading just to see what others think of them before they choose. And others are multi-tasking their way through life, constantly busy and only remember that there was a book somewhere, by someone, that they wanted to read but keep on forgetting to look them up.

Well, for those indecisive ones among us, this post is for you.

The CEDAR GROVE Series

Friendships, ballroom dancing, drama, relationships, and basic life in general are the key words for this series. You can add 'romance' to the list as well. But it is mostly about a group of co-workers who are friends and the complicated drama that can ensue in that dynamic. The reviews that have been left have used words such as cute, creative, and fun, with a twist of an ending. I don't think you can go wrong reading this series. (This series has 5 star ratings on it, so thank you, very much, to those of you who have reviewed it! I really appreciate it!!)

Book 1: ALONG THE WAY

Along the Way is my personal best selling novel at the moment. It is my debut novel so I will always list this series first. I have written seven posts about the Along the Way, and have done a mini-video ad for it. (Which hopefully appears here and plays for you. Ah, technology, ain't it grand?)

Book 2: WHEREVER IT GOES

The sequel to Along the Way is Wherever it Goes. I have written five posts about Wherever It Goes, which includes an introduction, a Beyond the Sample, and an Author's Commentary. Sure, you can jump into Wherever it Goes first, but you really want to start with Along the Way, just so you can get the full story.

THE STAND ALONE NOVELS:

The Allegheny Chronicles: Eden & the Alchemist. I call it a stand alone novel because it is, but it is also the unofficial 'seventh book' in the Portrait of an Unlikely Affair series. It may span its own series of books, but for now, as it stands today, it is a stand-alone novel.  I have written eight posts about The Allegheny Chronicles: Eden & the Alchemist, including an introduction, a Beyond the Sample, an Author's Commentary, and a video-ad.(Which is hopefully appearing below.) So far, The Chronicles (as I refer to it) has reviews with 5 stars on it, with reviewers calling it a 'ride,' 'haunting,' and are wowed about the ending. Several people I know have started out by reading The Chronicles first, then moving on to my other books. It is NOT a chick-flick book but more of a thriller. It covers several genres in one, with something for everyone. All of my books are my favorite, but this one really surprised me as I wrote it. I had no idea where it was going, and I'm guessing neither will you until you finish it.

THE PORTRAIT OF AN UNLIKELY AFFAIR SERIES

This series takes you through the paces. I have heard that you can't just finish it and then merely put the book down -- You have to immediately start reading the next book just to find out what happens next. I will warn you, people have also told me they think about these characters throughout the day when they are not reading the books (I am glad to know they haunt other people too!) You will get involved with the characters but don't let that discourage you from starting the series

The books in this series have 5 star reviews on them. Off the top of my head, phrases like "wild ride," "can't wait to read the next one!" and "never a dull moment!" are included in those reviews. There are many genres in this one series, really -- romance, mystery, drama, thriller, and a little bit of sci-fi with it. I have written many posts on this series, including introductions, Beyond the Samples, Author Commentaries, and I even did a video ad as well (Look for it below.)

This series starts out with its namesake: Portrait of an Unlikely Affair. This book introduces you to our main characters and kicks you off on the whole adventure, or saga as one reviewer put it.

So, for simplicity, I'll just leave a link here to the series on Amazon.

I hope this was helpful for those of you who are wondering which one to start with and didn't add to your indecision. But if you're back to the place of "I want to read them all! Where do I begin?!"  -- All of my books will be there for you. You start with the one that excites your imagination the most and go from there. When you're finished with that one, go on to book 2. When you finish a series, you start the next series. If you have questions or comments please let me know. If you have read my books and you haven't left a review on Amazon yet, please do! Someone may be wondering what you think of them so they can read the book, too.

And I certainly hope this post made sense as it took  me three hours to write amidst interruptions by the little ones and the animals.

So, there you have it, life inside a fiction writer's head. 😳 (Scary, isn't it?)

On that note, I'll let you get on with your day. If you have any questions or comments at all, by all means, let me know! I'm not scary (well, at least I don't think I am 🤔) and I will respond to you (writers do love to write.) If you enjoy reading these little blurbs, enjoy reading my novels, or just enjoy life, be sure to share those thoughts with your friends. If they like to read, I just may have some books for them to enjoy. Also, thank you for letting me know what you think in your reviews on Amazon!!😍

Thanks for stopping by and hanging out with me today. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day and have a great weekend!!💕
