Your Morning Tidbit -- Happy New Year!!

 

Ready or not, 2023 is coming and, in the words of Nick Charles (in one of my favorite movies, After the Thin Man), "I'll be asleep at midnight, so Happy New Year!"

My words for 2023 are going to be Prosperity, Peace, and Progress. There is going to be a lot of creation and manifestation happening in my little world and I am looking forward to seeing what I come up with. I am excited about getting my writing out there, and I am going to do more with that, while progressing in all other areas of life and finding that inner peace that is so very necessary to have. I haven't set 'words' for these previous several years, and instead have just been merely 'surviving' so I figure, hey, let's change that. Sure, I'll still fly by the seat of my pants and wing it most of the time, but at least I'll be doing more to thrive and not just merely survive. If I am the creator of my own destiny, then create it I shall. I'm a writer, after all.

Now, on to today's post!!  

First things first today, the finale of Portrait of an Unlikely Affair series is available for pre-order on Amazon right now. The Disruption of Forever, book 6, is on schedule to be released January 15, 2023!! If you haven't read any of them yet, I'd encourage you to do so. It is a great series and I found a lot of joy in writing it. In fact, I can't wait to read the whole series from book one all the way through to the end, including The Allegheny Chronicles too. 

Secondly, I am working on advertising. In case you missed this next attempt, I will be doing a series of different 'video' teasers for my books. On Tuesday, I shared one on Along the Way. If you missed it, check it out here (You really want to see it.) So today, I'm going to share with you the first 'advertising video' for Portrait of an Unlikely Affair, book 1. 

I hope you like it. These videos are challenging to me because I have to summarize the plot of the book in one or two sentences. Plus, I try to find clips on Canva that don't really show faces, which is difficult to do, because I don't want readers to see a person in the video and think that's what I intend my characters to look like. I want the readers to have their own vision of what my characters look like. 

So, that's all I really have for today. I'm excited to get The Disruption of Forever out to you on January 15, 2023. This is really the conclusion for the series. For reals. No jokes. I know I said it before with Project Broken Glass, that I thought it was really the conclusion, but I'm glad it wasn't. Disruption became a really wild ride and it did need to be its own book. I really am curious to see what it is that I have in store for you next, although, I am a bit sad to have finished writing the series. They've been a huge part of my life. But, I do have to remind myself that I have a whole slew of other characters you have yet to meet!! Now I'm excited thinking about introducing them to you. They have been patiently waiting for their turn to tell their stories. 

So, there you have it, life inside a fiction writer's head. 😳
